Dr Felder has a special interest in Limb Preservation; however, not all patients benefit from limb preservation and some will have greater function with amputation. For this reason, Dr Felder has also developed a great interest in amputation surgery and the care of amputees. Having run an amputee clinic for 7 years, he has had ample opportunity to see the difficulties that most amputees face; many of which arise from poorly performed amputations. Dr Felder takes a reconstructive approach to amputation surgery, creating a functional and pain free residual limb whenever possible. He also has extensive experience in treating patients who have had amputations and have difficulty using their residual limb.
